Am I missing something here? They seem ok, but not the world beaters some are suggesting?

Inform me.

The cunts just need to hurry up with their vaccinations so I can visit again. Not expecting any chance of that before into 2022.

Not wanting to piss on your chips Sven, in regular contact with my niece in Perth, re foreigners being let into Aus (as we want to visit), but last time we spoke, she said the feeling from politicians, clinicians etc, is that no inward travel into Aus, for the whole of 2022.

I saw Floyd play at the Minneapolis Metrodome, an indoor stadium for Twins Baseball and NFL Vikings, crappy stadium for music, the acoustics were terrible but even so it was good gig. Fucking reeked of Ganja though

If I recall correctly, Nick Mason used to live near Royston, Herts, (Therfield, maybe) and he would often pass me on the old Baldock Road in his newly acquired latest sports car doing some stupid crazy MPH

Just saying like

Re: Pink Floyd
Been there a couple of times on visits. Perth really needed a venue like that after the Entertainment Centre (was next door) got knocked down to get substantial acts to visit.
That plus the 'new' Optus Stadium are big upgrades

The cunts just need to hurry up with their vaccinations so I can visit again. Not expecting any chance of that before into 2022.

Here’s a short clip, less than 2 minutes, that shows how cool Dave Gilmour is; what he does after listening to a bloke busking with wine glasses on a street in Italy.

Where did Waters play in Perth in 2018? Perth Arena?

Had to check the date but saw Pink Floyd on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour in Feb 1988 at East Fremantle Oval

Other random fact: The manic laughter on Brain Damage is Peter Watts who was a sound engineer with them and the father of actress Naomi Watts.
He wasnt working for them when he later died of a heroin overdose but the band gave her and her Mum enough money to set their lives up again.

A few years back Gilmour had been living the country life in Sussex for quite a while. He still owned the place in Holland Park but never used it, so he sold it and gave all the proceeds to a homeless charity. I think it was about £8m!

That lead guitarist has a Telecaster just like Gilmour's, shame he can't play like him, which to be fair is a pretty high bar

chim - didn't you get into Punk Floyd?

(got to admit, it took me some time to find a clip that wasn't absolutely shit - it's probably not a coincidence that this is closer to the original than most of their "covers").

A gentleman never tells (it was so fucking long ago that it happened] but I'm guessing I did as I went out with her for three years.

...and nobody has ever said I've got ANYTHING big including my nose.

When I was a dispatch rider the company I worked for had Pink Floy's contract so I was always in and out of Dave Gilmore's place in Holland Park and Nick Mason's in Hampstead.

The most interesting place to go was to Nick Mason's office in Islington though. Up a little side road there was an old fashioned wooden gate with a hand painted sign with someone's name on it (can't remember who) and 'Ferrari servicing and repairs'.

When he buzzed you in and you went up the iron stairs there was Alain Prost's F1 Ferrari sitting there. Then you walked into his office with a massive table covered in fruit, a massive glass ceiling and about eight vintage drum kits, one of which had 'The Glenn Miller band' on the front of the kick drum.

He was actually a really nice bloke and always remembered me as I told him that I was a drummer in a punk band. Dave Gilmore seemed a decent bloke too. I just didn't like their music until I actually saw them.
